Young and Employed: Go for Loans for Young People

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steve_C_Clark]Steve C Clark In any consumer product, young people form the majority of buyers. Therefore, to get a pie of such large market, these manufacturers manufacture products which are suitable for such large group of young people. At time, they include only those features which will attract such young people. The basic idea of all these products and features is to target the young people. These young people form such large portion of buyers because they spend the most; their average spending is much higher than older people. For example, a young people will think at least once to buy an expensive racing car but an older person may not think. There is common psychology of this young buyers market is that they spend more than their earning. So, quite naturally, such young people are always in need. This need being an opportunity for lenders, they have devised loan schemes targeted at this huge market of young people, which is called loans for young people. The basic difference between a normal loan and a loan for young people is that the terms and conditions of loans for young people are easier and flexible compared to terms and conditions of normal loans. Like any other loan, lenders offer two types of loans to young people-secured and unsecured. In case of secured loan for young people, the borrower has to offer an asset as security against the loan he borrows. This security is called collateral. Whereas, in case of unsecured loans, no collateral is required. It is given on the basis of borrowers profile. However, in case of young people, often such people start their career when they borrow money. At this juncture such young borrowers have usually no asset to offer as collateral. Therefore, in loan market for young people, unsecured loan forms the majority. Infact, young people have the highest level of unsecured debt in the UK, with the average person under 30 owing nearly 8,000, recent figures have revealed. Purpose of Loan for Young People Loan for young people can be used for any purpose depending upon the choice of the borrower. It can be used for buying a new bike or a racing car, to pay tuition fee, to buy a home, virtually anything. Some of the common purposes for which people opt for loans for young people are: 1 Debt Consolidation 2 New Car, Motorbike 3 Exotic Holiday 4 Cosmetic Surgery 5 Professional development courses 6 Establishing office at home Eligibility, Amount and Cost of Loan for Young People Anybody aged between 18years and 30 years are eligible to apply for loans for young people. At time, age limit does vary from lender to lender. The amount of loan also varies from borrower to borrower, in which different factors are examined. Such as age, educational qualification, full time employment, income level, consistency in employment etc. Similarly, rate of interest to be charged by the lender varies from borrower to borrower. However, since in most of the cases this loan is unsecured which increases risk for lender. So they charge a little higher interest rate to compensate against the increased risk. People aged between 18 and 29 owe about 7,718 each through credit cards, overdrafts and loans, the equivalent of 36% of their total household income, according to Alliance & Leicester. Key features of loan for young people are: 1 Loan amount depends upon the profile of the borrower 2 Interest rate also depends upon the profile of the borrower and risk involved 3 Various factors which are considered before offering loan are: -Age -Full time employment -Income level -Consistency in employment -Type of organization where working -Any asset -Any previous record of payment Steve Clark can tell you how to look better, live better and breathe better by giving you tips to improve your finances. He writes on loans. Small Business Marketing Secret #1: The Most Important Word In Advertising

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

By Jimmy Vee Almost any advertisement that has struggled for results in the past can earn a second chance with a little dusting off and a simple swivel of the camera. Video camera, movie camera, digital camera, 35mm camera, one of those old 110 cameras with the flash cubes, or even the camera in your mindit doesn’t matter. If your camera is pointed at you it’s backwards and you’re wasting film and ad dollars (not to mention those hard to find flash cubes). Your potential customers dont really care about you. (Pause for effect and repeat). Your potential customers don’t really care about you. They care about what you can do for them and indeed, about themselves. No news there, right? Most people are already on the same page as you and I but most people still ignore that fact when it comes time to write ad copy. 30 years in business, bonded and insured, weekly service, competitive rates, family owned and operated, yada, yada, yada, you’ve heard them all probably even used a few yourself. The truth is most ads in print, on the web, on TV, and in the mail spend tons of space, time, and moolah talking about the company and the products. Most ads leave the most important word out. Most ads just don’t seem to work. But if it’s so simple, why doesn’t everybody who spends money advertising just put that word in? Who knows? People just love doing the same old things. Besides, doesn’t it seem natural that your ads should talk about your company or your product? You’re the one shelling out the money for the ad, so shouldn’t you be able to tell your story? In this case, the truth just isn’t fair. The good news is that so few people properly leverage the power of this word in their advertisements, that when you finally let it creep into yours it has the potential to make a major impact. So what’s the word? Pull out the last advertisement that you ran. How many times does the word “you” appear in it? If it’s not all over the thing, you can pretty sure that’s why it didn’t work. OK you, you can sit down now. In Jim and Travis’ small business marketing secret #2, find out the major advertising secret you can learn on a fishing trip. Jim and Travis are the authors of The Ten Tall Tales Of Traditional Advertising That Cost You Tons and their newest release, The Small Business Owners Guide To The Galaxy: Jim & Traviss Super-Stellar, Out Of This World, Step-By-Step Guide To Generating Leads, Attracting Customers and Making Sales. Body Calling: All Natural Cures

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

By Gina Bucci Natural remedies can heal and have been around for centuries. They are affodable cost wise: vitamins, minerals, calcium supplements, digestive enzymes and essential oils. In the 1970’s vitamins, minerals and natural enzymes were considered a cure for the fatal and terminal inherited disease Cystic Fibrosis. This research and discovery took the lifespan of 5 Year Old children into 30 years of age and some now into 60 years of age! The quality of life was dramatically increased 25 to 50 years to what was once only known as a “Childhood Disease”. There is now a dire need for Physicians for “Adult Cystic Fibrosis” to help them maintain and continue optimal health. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, donated $20 Million dollars to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 1999 due to the fact research was doing it’s job helping to extend all these children’s lives! The point is our bodies all need all natural herbs, vitamins, minerals, supplements, essential oils, fatty acids to reach optimal health. It has been proven over and over most problems go away and many diseases and “the New Diseases” or so they are now labeled “Disease” can be cured and or maintained. Our society opts for an easy out, a drug, a new drug, the little purple pill, when in actuality they have many of the homeopathic remedies in their own cuboards at home! ie: Honey, a teaspoon a day is good for you especially when relocating to another state. The particular honey “bee’s” help you build up immunities to the new environments you can be allergic to. Vinegar for acid- reflux, it works. Baking soda for Gingivitis and good oral health and hygene. Olive oil, the reason why Italian’s live into their 100’s! Don’t forget the Wine which comes from one of the greatest forms of antioxidants: red grapes. Red grapes if given regularily to your children will reduce their chances of getting Cancer…Ever! Healthy people do not need drugs persay, yet they can be necessary. Genetic therapy (drugs) are the latest and greatest in our modern science and technologies. For those families who cannot afford $5,000 perscriptions with $500 copays. Call your local health resources for help and referrals. But always remember there is a natural resource out there for almost everything. The original cures were only natural cures. Research shows vitamins are just as good as some of the drugs out there today. Gina Bucci, mother of a wonderful kid with Cystic Fibrosis. My Favorite Books On Book Marketing and Promotion Every Author Must Read

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By R. Scott Lorenz As a book marketing guy and book publicist its imperative for me to keep up with all of the great books and magazine articles being published on the topic of book marketing. Ive read dozens and dozens of books on book marketing and usually have found a morsel or two of useful information in each one. Heres a list of my favorites. By the way, Ive personally met or have spoken to each author and can attest to the veracity of the material they present and their credentials to discuss these topics. PyroMarketing. Book marketing professionals know the secrets of success that drove the sales of Rick Warrens The Purpose Driven Life to a chart-busting best-seller and Mel Gibsons The Passion of the Christ into a huge cinema phenom. Those of us in the business understand that sales of both blockbusters were driven by techniques outlined in a book called PyroMarketing by Greg Stielstra who gained fame in book publishing circles when he served as the marketing director for The Purpose Driven Life, the best-selling hardcover book in history. PyroMarketing embraces an idea that really has been in use for some time niche marketing. That tool is well-known and used every day by book promoters but Stielstra lays out the niche marketing principles with a new, crystal clear message that is so compelling that it is a must-read for anyone who wants to promote an idea, service or product. I met Brian while co-presenting on a panel at a Learning Annex seminar in NYC on the topic of book marketing. I covered the topic of book publicity, he covered selling books. Brian Jud says since more than half of all book sales come from outside bookstores its important to target these markets. Mass merchandisers such as Wal-Mart or Costco, gift shops, airport stores, home-shopping networks, book clubs, libraries, network-marketing companies, catalogs, associations, government agencies, corporations, educational markets, retail stores and military branches all buy and sell books. Brian walks you through creating a special sales plan, where to find the people you need to contact to make your pitch. If you really want to sell books outside the bookstore market then buy Beyond the Bookstore at: www.bookmarketingworks.com Book Marketing A-Z by Francine Silverman. More than 300 authors, marketers and publicists, including yours-truly tell about their best promotional strategies with regards to book marketing. Youll undoubtedly find several good ideas to implement. While youre at it, check out Frans Book Promotion Newsletter which for $7.50 a year is the best value in book marketing in the USA. Buy her book here: www.bookpromotionnewsletter.com There are many books out there on the topic of book marketing, book publishing and just plain everyday business marketing in general. You can read the ones Ive described above but unless you want to spend days and weeks learning about book marketing, you might find it useful to retain an expert on book marketing or hire an experienced book publicist. I am sure that after you read two or three of these youll seriously question the idea of self promotion. Why? The reason is that todays book market is extremely competitive. The world is awash in books. Bowker (The keeper of all ISBNs) says that in 2005 more than 172,000 books were published in the United States, plus 206,000 published in the UK. How can Borders, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, your local library or anyone else effectively sell or showcase that number let alone the millions of previously printed titles? The answer: They cant. Furthermore, I do not recommend self-promotion, for the same reason you dont cut your own hair. You can do it, but its not going to be that good. Book marketing and book promotion requires special skills and most authors simply do not know how to market a book nor do they have the time or, more importantly, the patience. A publicist develops and nurtures relationships with writers, editors and producers so they trust us when we give them a story idea about a book or author. The bottom line: While I do recommend these books as a basis for understanding the book marketing and book promotion process a wise author would be even wiser to retain a book publicist to market and promote their book. Bouillabaisse Is Not Just Any Fish Soup

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

By Joy Cagil The other night, I made clam chowder for my son who was visiting and my husband drank a little, only out of courtesy since he hates fish soups. His face–as he drank it–brought back the memory of Bouillabaisse. During the late seventies, with our two children we stayed in a seaside village in southern France for a couple of days where a sandy beach with small eateries full of tourists cupped the sea and the steep, rugged, and probably granite hills in the background cut into a wide stretch of beach. The second evening we were there, we bought our way into a beach-barbecue or rather into a group waiting to have some Bouillabaisse cooked over a flaming fire. This summer ritual of sorts took place beneath a crescent moon with waterfront lights echoing on the Mediterranean and paying guests sitting around a somewhat primitive fire on the sands. The fire was lit with wood, some charcoal, and crushed papers under an iron grid. The flames leaped over the grid all the way to the second iron shelf with the large round pot over it. The cooking of the soup took probably 20 to 25 minutes, tops. It wasn’t so much the soup, but the ambiance created around it, which the French know how to do best. This evening would be one to remember, especially when our untamed little ones sat quietly nestling to us, watching the fire and the meal cooking over it. “In memory of dear old times, Welcome the wine, whate’er the seal is; And sit you down and say your grace With thankful heart, whate’er the meal is. Here comes the smoking Bouillabaisse!” by William Makepeace Thackeray What a ceremonial occasion this was! The basic idea was to boil everything fresh to make a broth of a soup and eat the boiled solids as the main meal with a glass of white wine. A few minutes before the soup was served, the chef placed several lengthwise sliced baguettes to toast on the top iron grid shelf near the pot. Then he spread butter on the toasted bread and put a piece of toast in each bowl. After that, he grated some cheese on each bowl with great showmanship, since “no theatrics, no food” has always been the French cuisine’s motto. Two young French women clad in beach attire passed the bowls around the customers. I took a sip and I thought I am in Heaven. It tasted so delicious. My husband, however, almost gagged, with the soup about to come out of wherever it went, his nose or stomach, I’ll never know. Luckily, because we had little kids with us, I had a load of Kleenex tissues in my bag. So, to save face, I lied. I told everybody that he was allergic to the fennel in the soup. Then, the annoyed chef, who probably didn’t buy my lie, took the bowl away from him and dumped its contents inside a thrash container nearby; however, he–very politely–filled my husband’s glass with wine and served him some toast with cheese. Right then, to top it all, one of my offspring asked out loud: “Why is Daddy so weird?” Oh, Boy! Years later, while discussing our children’s antics, we told this incident to a group of friends. One of them happened to be of French origin. Sounding truly defensive, he said that Bouillabaisse was the invention of the Marseilles fishermen and was originally made with seawater and very rare Mediterranean fish. True, Bouillabaisse chefs were so incensed over its bad replicas that they have formed a union to protect the exploitation of the Bouillabaisse. Those who created the bad versions were the unscrupulous money-hungry, tourist-hunting cooks who demeaned the authentic Bouillabaisse’s name. Those counterfeiters aside, the Frenchman claimed, whoever did try true Bouillabaisse would never forget the experience. Well, we never forgot ours. May the French preserve the honor of their Bouillabaisse forever. Joy Cagil is an author on a site for Creative Writing(http://www.Writing.Com/) Her education is in foreign languages and linguistics. How To Meet Someone Over The Holidays: Listen Carefully

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

By Tonja Weimer When the holidays come around, you may have more opportunities than usual to meet someone. Do you know what people find most attractive in others? The ability to listen. Listening is a skill, an art, and a way of life. When singles are good listeners, they become attractive. Men look for women who are gracious listeners. Also, after years of working with single women who would like to find a mate, I have discovered that all of them say, I would like to find someone to talk to who is a good listener. Do you know how to meet someone at a holiday party this year? Have you ever noticed that the most plain, ordinary-looking guy or gal will wind up leaving with someone wonderful? Why them, over someone smarter, better-looking, or more financially successful? Because they were friendly, asked good questions, and listened. Listening fully is when you pay very close, exquisite attention to what is being said, what is going on, and what is happening around you and within you. Being a good listener can take your life to a new level. Listening fully is one way to meet someone over the holidays. Listening is a rare gift and will draw people to you. The following suggestions can help you develop your Listening I.Q.: Let go of your judgments. You dont have to agree with what someone is saying, but if you let them voice it, they may gain a new perspective. Criticism, hidden agendas of what people are supposed to think and say, and holding a superior attitude can kill communication. Be more like water than icereceive what is coming to you and absorb it. Listen with a quiet mind. If we can keep our mouths shut and channel our efforts into truly trying to understand what the person is saying, we will achieve a connection. When we are quiet, we can also develop our mind to a place that can ask objective questions, which helps us gain a greater clarity. Also, questions like, Is there evidence that supports this opinion? and What exactly does that mean? help continue the dialogue and interaction. Listen beyond the speaker. How many times have you discovered that the kindergarten child had something to say that was penetrating and beyond his years? Or did you notice that the person with a strange accent, or wearing funny clothes, or had an outrageous hairdo, was a blessing to know once you got past your own limitations of how you saw them? Listen for whats missing. Often, it is what someone is not saying that is shouting in our earsif only we will pay attention. The person who insists they are looking for a committed relationship, but keeps all conversation on the level of the frat house, is telling you something important that you need to be aware of. Translation: they aren’t ready for a relationship. When we are single, before we find our love, we need to understand a fundamental truth: there is nothing more precious than a person who can truly hear us. Instead of sitting at home hoping True Love will find you this holiday season, pull up the courage to get out there and find the conversations that are waiting for you. You can do it. How Men Find Sexy Russian Brides

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

By Peter Finch Many of you may have wondered why Russian brides are so sexy and smart. The truth is only one: its their husbands that are giving them motivation to be such. Have you ever wondered why there are so many men who have managed to find a wife who has so many indisputable virtues such as being smart, beautiful, sexy and rich? The truth is that actually many Russian girls have started their family life out of nothing else but a desire to be part of the luxury lifestyle of the super millionaires. They are smart and intelligent but in addition they have worked hard to be well educated too. Russia has internationally acknowledged universities such as the Moscow University or St. Petersburg Institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics. Many families have invested much in the good education of their daughters explaining to them that rich foreigners would never stay with a common woman in spite of her beauty. Understanding that beauty is skin deep but being sexy is something one can learn and develop, young women have invested time and efforts to learn the art of innocent seduction. Usually in university Russian girls get the advantage of internship programs which allow them to travel the world and meet men on conferences or other scholar events. If you have seen your sexy Russian bride during one of those events soon you will become convinced that sex is not just act, but state of mind and pleasure for the intellect. These ladies always support their husbands because they have been taught that family is very important and a wife’s mission is to motivate the relationship. Russian women are ready to sacrifice almost everything in order for her to prove her loyalty to you. Their good professional education makes them desired partners not only for family, but business affairs too. Many top captains of industry are intentionally searching for wives from a country from the soviet block because they know that these smart girls are able to double their fortune. What is more challenging and sexy for businessmen than having bride with astute and clever thinking, easy-going attitude and seductive inclinations? You might be a software engineer but she will help you become a software entrepreneur whose company might break the traditional market. Your Russian wife will make everything possible to make you believe that your choice was right and to stay behind you in difficult times. And all of a sudden if you decide to drop everything, a typical Russian bride will help you solve your problems just in a few minutes. She may well do this by the way while making love with you and whispering a tender “davai, davai” (go on, go on) in your ear. Like most women all around the world these ladies are looking for better possibilities for them and for their children. Wellness partially guarantees this but what is more important to them is their husband’s education and character. Make your Russian bride laugh, tell her crazy romantic stories and prove that you can be good father. International marriage is not an easy step. Things like cultural barriers or different traditions might make you confused. The good news is that in Russia, just like in America, women like erotic games. The combination of the two of you will result in everlasting physical and intellectual pleasure. Don’t get scammed. Marketers, Last…or…What Drives You - The Accolades or the Client?

Monday, September 17th, 2007

By Roy MacNaughton Recently, I have had occasion to speak with three different web designers who were trying to impress me with their abilities vis–vis designing and building web sites. The first one went on at great length impressing me with his philosophy of web design: how a web site had to be both a work of art, and a place where people could be educated. His emphasis on a site as a work-of-art likely stems from his own background as an artist and photographer. He was each of those…before being drawn to web design, an area where it appears he could actually make a living. The second one, self-employed in web design for five years, gave me an in-depth evaluation of an existing site and how it needed to be revised to look much better. His concept was to build the infrastructure of the site, which he referred to as the skeleton, then he would proceed to put all the muscles on and build the look of the site. His entire approach began and ended with what he felt the site should look like (to him, of course). Finally, the third person I interviewed, with a degree in computer science, understandably tried to influence me with all the graphics, flashy software he knew how to operate; all the super-duper special effects he could put on a site to gain attention (he didnt specify whose attention that was). Now let me segue to a quiet, lazy afternoon with a couple of hours to kill in an unfamiliar small town. I had an appointment two hours out, but had arrived in the town early. I decided to have some lunch, and spend those two hours doing some paperwork; maybe even some planning-thinking in the large dining room of this well known quick service restaurant. Let me tell you up front, that it was NOT a McDonalds, Wendys, A&W, or Burger King. I was waiting for my order when I had no choice but to notice this high pitched noise emanating from a bank of frozen food self-service upright freezers, where the operator stored frozen delights for sale. It was obvious to me that one or more of the refrigeration compressors was on its last legs; the machines were making an irritating noise that, once you were aware of it and how could you not be? It was impossible to block out. It was so loud in fact; the playing of the old style 50s juke box just a dozen feet from my table was not able to drown out this most exasperating sound.I noticed a person who had the look of owner written all over him; I introduced myself and asked him if he knew he had a blown compressor. What? he said. Oh yeah, that went on the fritz a few months ago. I said: how come you havent gotten it fixed? Its really very irritating for your customers. Oh yeah? he said. I hadnt really noticed it again until you just mentioned it….Im here every day so I guess Im used to it. Doesnt seem bad to me. I looked him square in the eye and said: Look at the number of customers you have in your dining room right now, during your peak lunch hour period. Do you think this might be a reflection of many people in your small town know about this irritation and have told others that it is no longer pleasant to eat here? He stared at me blankly and said: Do you have any idea of how much it will cost me to fix those compressors? I said: yes, I do. I used to be in the business too. Do you know how much this is and will continue to cost you in lost business in a small, highly competitive market…if you DONT fix them?Whats missing in each of these scenarios? You guessed it: the customers viewpoint, opinion, input, feeling, needs or wants. Each of these web designers is caught up in his own area of expertise or his need to earn awards of some kind. The owner of this fast food outlet is missing the boat because he doesnt want to spend the money. The customer be damned. Its his business thats being damned, not the customer. The customer will quietly vote with his feet. Years ago, the founder of Leo Burnett, the famous Chicago ad agency, said: We want the consumer to say, “That’s a hell of a product,” instead of, “That’s a hell of an ad.”" Even back then, marketing was about the customer first, the marketer last. Its a lesson we can never afford to forget. Copyright, Roy MacNaughton, 2007 Roy MacNaughton is a niche marketing coach and business writer. Grapefruit and Its Natural Benefits

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

By Cindy Ng The grapefruit occupies a high place among the citrus fruits because of its flavor, its appetizing properties and its refreshing qualities. The fruit is often very large. It varies in color and may have a pale yellow or pinkish flesh. The rind is usually quarter to half an inch thick. The grapefruit is indigenous to Indo-China, Thailand and Malaysia. It has spread to other hot countries from these lands. It is now extensively grown in West Indies, Israel, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, USA and India. It is nutritive and refrigerant; and possesses very much the same properties as the orange, lemon and lime. The seedless variety is the best as it often contains greater amount of sugar, calcium and phosphorus. The grapefruit is often used as table salad and is taken together with other fruit and vegetables. It is sometimes cut into half, and the seeds and the hard pith removed from then center. The cavity is then filled with sugar which is also sprinkled over the cut surface. It is left for one hour in a covered plate and then taken. Grapefruit is an excellent appetizer. It promotes salivary and gastric digestion. It is an important health builder and also a tonic. In spite of its often sharp, sub-acid taste, the fresh grapefruit has an alkaline reaction after digestion. The citric acid of the fruit is oxidized in the human system and hence the effect is to increase the alkalinity of the fluids of the body. Its juice is beneficial in the prevention and treatment of acidity and many diseases caused by too much acid in the body system. The fruit is also valuable in relieving constipation. The pulp, when wholly taken, supplies healthy bulk to aid bowel action. It is beneficial in maintaining the health of intestines and is regarded as a preventive food item against dysentery, diarrhea, enteritis, and other infective diseases of the digestive tract. When having influenza, the juice of grapefruit is an excellent remedy as it helps to reduce acidity in the system and its bitter properties arising from a substance called ‘maringin’, tones up the system and the digestive tract. The juice of grapefruit is also an excellent diet in all fevers. It quenches thirst and removes the burning sensation produced by the fever. It should be taken mixed with water. Grapefruit contains a natural ‘quinine’ and hence is valuable in the treatment of malaria. This ‘quinine’ is also beneficial in feverish colds. It can be extracted from the fruits by boiling a quarter of a grapefruit and then straining the pulp. This wonderful fruit could also be used as natural remedies to treat diabetes, fatigue, scanty urination and others.
